An Invitation From The Faeries
Faeries love fun and love to play! When you are experiencing a creative phase, or feeling called to go outdoors, or into the garden, there’s a good chance you are being called out to have some fun and free spirited playtime with the faeries.
Typically, faeries, or fae, are easiest for us to connect with during the times of year when seasonal energy portals are open on the cross quarters holidays of the Summer and Winter Solstice, and Spring and Fall Equinox. These times are traditionally also celebrated in the ancient pagan festivals and religious holy days of Imbolc (Saint Brigid’s Day) on February 1st, Ostara (Easter) on March 21st, Beltane (St. Walburga’s Day)on May 1st, Litha (St John’s Day) on June 20th, Lammas (Loaf Mass Day) on August 1st, and Samhain (All Saints’ Day) on October 31st. Wisdom From The Garden
As living beings having a human and earthly experience, we are bound by natural law. Natural law is simply the order of things and one of the primary natural laws is that things unfold over time. This law represents the seasonal dynamic of life.
Many times, people will have a desire, something that they would like to experience in relationships or within their career. I am confident that our desires are meant to be fulfilled, but it is important to understand that the fulfillment of our desires unfolds over time.
Just like a garden, it is crucial for us to recognize the process by which things come into being. I want tomatoes in my garden. So, I started some tomato plants from seed. When I planted the seeds, I trusted that they were growing. This is often the first step to manifesting. We must trust that the natural order is working in our favor. Continue reading
Feng Shui Water And Air
Your home is your refuge. It is where you re-charge your energy like a battery. It is so important to make it a sacred, safe, healing place for you and your family.
Most Feng Shui masters say that clogged sinks and shower drains, as well as plugged up toilets, stagnate energy and block prosperity, abundance and wealth. They deplete finances.
Stagnant water creates mildew, which has been known to cause respiratory problems, neurological problems and can weaken the immune system. Stagnant water also can create an energy flow issue with travel, ambition and energy. If you are feeling low energy, especially if it is only when you are in your house, check your drains! The Wisdom Of Real Food
My relationship with food evolved the day I decided to start my own garden. I didn’t have much space where I lived, so I rented a plot in a community garden nearby, for a very small fee.
Although it soon became a part-time job, it also turned into my sanctuary. Any stress from the day cleared when I went there. I was always eager to go there and visit my growing family of fruits, herbs, flowers and vegetables. It made me feel like a child again!
Connecting with the Earth on such a deep level also gave me a new perspective on my spiritual identity. From being inspired by fellow gardeners to teaching my son important life skills, I was motivated to get serious about treating my body like a temple and also raising awareness in others. Something I once took for granted and paid little attention to, became a great passion and concern for me. Continue reading
Create Your Own Energy Cleansing Spray
Remember the last time you changed out a dirty air filter from your air-conditioning unit, vacuum cleaner, or your car? Remember how clogged with dust it was? In our living spaces, negative energies accumulate over time just like those ‘dust bunnies.’ Even though we can’t see these energies, there is a way to clear them on a regular basis. Think of it as the spiritual version of house cleaning.
The first and most obvious step to take is to physically clean your space. Clutter and unwanted items work as repositories for negative energy, so it’s important to get rid of it. After you’re done, imagine the space being deep-cleaned with an indigo or violet-colored flame. Use this as a silent meditation, and picture the flames consuming all that invisible ‘dust.’ Continue reading
Balancing Your Chakras With Flower Power
I have great faith in the emotional healing power of plants, their oils and how they can have a powerful effect on your well-being. The amazing healing properties of flowers, in particular, can be used to activate our body’s energy centers, otherwise known as the chakras.
Root Chakra
Known as Muladhara, you will find this particular chakra at your spine’s base. Consider it, if you would, the very plug that connects you to the life force of the Earth herself and assists you to remain grounded. When this chakra is in balance, you should feel secure and stable. Should it become imbalanced, however, you may feel somewhat stuck (or lost) in life and find yourself focusing on subjects that do not serve your greatest interests. Continue reading
