The First Chakra
Chakra literally means “wheel” or “circle of light.”
The first chakra, or Muladhara, is located in the coccygeal region at the base of the spine where we sit. It is symbolized by a four petaled red lotus flower.
The animal totem of the first chakra is the elephant. The musical note that resonates with this chakra is C. It is considered the root chakra.

My clients are always asking me how it is I’m always so positive and upbeat every time they call for a psychic reading. They always tell me how it has a way of rubbing off on them. I love hearing this! I know I have the gift to heal energetically.

My Anti-Aging Secret

Some of us are buying tanning packages or laying in the sun in the back yard trying to get that perfect tan to go with the new summer outfits. Some of us are getting laser treatments to remove unwanted hair. Some of us are getting our hair highlighted.

Quite often, I am met with disbelief and astonishment when I tell people how old I am. I am 41 yrs old. And, I am told that I look no older than 32. I’ve heard “twenty something” but, that is just pushing it. I am a mother of four and also grandmother. And, I honestly don’t have the time or money for expensive skin and hair treatments. One of my favorite techniques for stress reduction is Yoga. This form of ‘exercise’ originated in India and has greatly increased in popularity all over the world in recent years. It’s great exercise for your body, and your mind. Keeping a healthy body improves holistic health and reduces stress and anxiety in your life.
Yoga can be done just about anywhere, even in small spaces. All you need is comfortable clothing and a mat to stretch out on. Add a relaxing environment and music, and you’re set! Start slowly, working up to what is comfortable for you. This is key. Yoga can be very enjoyable and something to look forward to if it is performed with care and dedication. Continue reading
