Spiritual Rituals Provide Sacred Space
Spiritual ceremonies, where humans gather together in a circle, are especially potent. An energetic hoop gathers over the circle to assist in the endeavor for the gathering, whether it be for the purpose of celebrating a new birth, honoring a solstice, or to express anything of importance to humanity, as individuals, or as a group.
Altars are also powerful. They are a gathering place for spirits to provide protection and shielding, to aid in a calling or, perhaps, to provide a sacred place for the energy of one who has crossed to another dimension to gather and connect. Spiritual Practices To Alleviate Depression
Depression is a malady that seems to haunt us all at one time or another. It is common to feel depressed when our world is out of balance, or when it seems we are not receiving the things we most desire in our lives.
I have found that spiritual practices, such as meditation and journaling, help us to get in touch with our spirit guides and higher source, so that we can alleviate this problem more quickly and effectively, instead of treating it with medications.
Our spirit guides are a wonderful source of healing, guidance and direction. Getting in touch with our guides can indeed help us to move out of depression, for they have the ability to free and empower us on every level. Continue reading
Catching The Bogey Man
At a particular time in their life, some people may feel that they have not achieved much success in their career, romantic life, or health and well-being. And often these people accept it to be due to their own wrongdoing. But negative energy in our lives is not always of our own volition.
Granted, when applicable, we should admit that we sometimes might have been operating from a negative vibration, which aids the expansion of such feelings of doubt and a lack of confidence. But sometimes these negative energies in our lives are caused by dark and destructive spiritual forces.
There are unknown entities out there patiently waiting for the opportunity to take control of some unsuspecting soul, especially if you are experiencing trauma, chaos or indecision. One of the main reasons these entities find it so easy to take over and manipulate us in these opportune moments, is because we are feeling overwhelmed and vulnerable. My Experience With Aura Imaging
I recently came across a photograph of myself which was taken using an aura imaging camera. The aura camera is a bio-feedback imaging system which translates a person’s energy measured from electromagnetic impulses of the hands into an individual pattern and personal colors which represent the aura.
The pattern of vibrant colors is overlaid onto an instant photograph of the person, to give a visual impression of what an aura would look like to psychics and mediums who are able to see auras.
An aura photograph gives us information about the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual balance of a person at the time it is taken, and can therefore be used as a basis for further analysis of an individual’s potential.
The photograph of my aura I recently found is 17 years old, and was taken at a psychic fayre in London. In hindsight, that photograph of my aura was very relevant to what was going on in my life at that time, and really accurate. Continue reading
We All Thrive Differently
I love plants and enjoy sharing space with them. I several in my home and take very good care of them. I’m mindful to water them around the same time every week and I even talk to them. In many ways, I look at them as my friends.
I live in a home that doesn’t get much sunshine, so I have selected plants that require low light. While they never receive any direct sunlight, they are thriving like champs and are healthy and happy.
Plants are much like people in that sense. Some of us require a lot of people around us to be happy, the same way some plants need lots of sunshine. But some of us require lots of quiet, alone time, like some plants prefer the shade. We all recharge and thrive in different ways. Continue reading

A Symbol To Know The Unknowable
This morning, I ran into one of my friends in our little Spanish town, and we decided to grab a coffee and catch up. I was delighted at how she took an interest in my Om/Aum pendant. She commented on how I seemed to treat my pendant as something rather sacred, and with respect – an interesting observation! She loved the flow of the shapes, and asked if the pendant had any specific meaning.
I had to remove the pendant and study it closely to try and remember what I was taught years ago, in order to give her a brief description to the best of my ability. One by one I tried to connect with each swirl in the design and was surprised that I had remembered quite a lot of what my mentor had taught me. It was a long time ago, when we used the Om/Aum chant in our meditation sessions.
With my pendant on the table I began to explain the meaning of the dot at the top of the symbol, and recalled that this related to the silence after chanting Om/Aum. It represents the Enlightened Self, and is known as the transcendental state of Turiya. Continue reading
