Your Child Deserves To Be Creative
Part of spiritual parenting is understanding your child’s generation. This is not “The Wonder Years”. The harsh reality is that even if you are protecting your child’s innocence, chances are their friend’s parents aren’t. These days we do need to ask the parents of our child’s friend if there is unsupervised time on the computer, and is there potential access to pornography, or even guns in the home. We need to go online and see if there are any predators in that home, or in the neighborhood. We need to know that there aren’t any drugs or alcohol in the home.
I have been working with children for 30 years and times have certainly changed. Today’s generation of parents cannot afford to be distracted, detached and oblivious. Modern parents text and talk on the phone more than they look at or communicate with their own children. I often hear people talk about how this generation of children seem tuned out, detached and lack imagination and creativity, but how can we ask them to tune in when their parents are not? Ways To Improve Your Memory
I have been teaching memory classes for 15 years based on my practice of Yoga. There are many yogic techniques that can help improve and protect our memory.
The most powerful tool for memory is the spine. There is a spinal fluid that runs up the spine and feeds the brain. It brings oxygen, blood and nutrients to the brain. When the spine becomes restricted and tight, and is not properly stretched, worked and used, it restricts the flow of these nutrients to the brain. This causes memory loss.
I believe this is why many people who have had back injuries report to me that they also have noticed problems with their focus, concentration and memory. This is also why people who practice Yoga claim to have improved their focus, concentration and memory. The movement and strengthening of the spine is emphasized in Yoga. I also believe the movement in Yoga stimulates the Kundalini energy that moves up the spine, and that also improves memory. Continue reading
Effective Visualization Strategies
Visualization can be a wonderful tool for increasing the effectiveness we have in our daily lives. It allows us to align our intentions and emotions with what we desire, and keeps us focused on our goals. However, there is definitely some pitfalls to this particular practice.
Working in the metaphysical traditions, I have noticed that sometimes individuals mistake visualization for fantasy. Fantasy is not innately bad; for instance fantasy in the context of fiction it allows healthy down-time from our everyday lives. Meet The Archangels
Divine messengers and emissaries, the Archangels are the foremost of the host of angels, and they help and guide us in our daily lives. Although they are established in many religious traditions, anyone may call upon them for assistance.
Most of the Archangels have names ending in “-el,” which means “of, or in God.” Though the spiritual traditions debate how many Archangels there are, the following are some of the most well-known to humanity.
Michael (Who is like God?) is the leader of the Archangels, often depicted as a warrior angel with a blazing sword. He can help in conquering our fears and anxieties, motivating us to do greater things, and seeking the truth. He’s also a powerful ally in breaking our addictions. Continue reading
My Favorite Prosperity Crystals
Is your life prosperous? And no, it does not refer solely to how much money your have. Prosperity is certainly related to money, however I do not believe that money alone represents prosperity.
I have been doing intuitive readings for many years, and some of my regular clients are some of the wealthiest people in the country. Yet, many of them suffer broken relationships, heartache, and face other life struggles. Even though their money is in order, they are lacking in many other areas of their lives. What your passion is, is what your gift to the world is. So many of my clients ask me what would give them the greatest amount of happiness. Sometimes I will look at their birth chart or just share what I’m picking up intuitively.
Often I will also share ways they can find out what their gifts are all on their own. There are a few steps:

Emotion, The Key To Creating Your Desires
I recently ran into my good friend Susie, whom I had not seen in a while. After exchanging the usual pleasantries, Susie told me how she was not so happy with her present circumstances, especially since she had paid a substantial fee to attend a course on how to manifest success in particular areas of her life.
The course promoted the use of a vision board. The idea was to focus on what her actual desire was and then create a visual of this intention. For example, if she wanted a new home she was to cut out a picture from a magazine that closely resembled the home she would like to own, and then she had to place that on her vision board. The same would be true if she wanted a new car. If it was a new relationship she was seeking, she could cut out a picture of a happy-looking couple and add it to her dream board. Continue reading
