How To Conduct A Séance
When I facilitate a séance, it is to give the sitters opportunity to communicate with departed spirits that have crossed over to the other side, which the spirits like to call ‘home.’ Spirits often like to call the day they left the earth plain their ‘birthday’ going back home. Death is the beginning of their life in the other side, as some people like to call it. Matter cannot be destroyed it just changes form.
A séance is group session aimed at communicating with spirits. The word séance comes from the French word for seat, session or setting (from the old French seoir, which means to sit).
There are usually three to twelve people in the séance. I prefer six to eight, and if possible a mix of female and male energy. When people come to my space for a séance I have a nice round wooden pedestal table. Lighting is a personal preference. Some mediums like very little light, some like a red light, because they believe it is easier to see spirit in red light. I personally feel spirit can communicate in any kind of lighting. Self-forgiveness is so essential in today’s modern world. With the festive season fast approaching, however, forgiving oneself is more important than ever, so we can enjoy our time to the full and not let guilt, self-punishment and blame get in the way.
As human beings we have all glanced at our calendars and cringed at the fact that we have overlooked a loved one’s birthday, or not spent as much quality time with our family as we intended. Keep Your Money Karma Clean
I have been receiving many calls from clients who are struggling with finances and employment. They get something then lose it, or they have others sabotaging their jobs or reputation. If this is a re-occurring problem in your life, it is a good idea to look at your money karma.
Not all people who go through this have ‘bad’ money karma, but some do. We are on this planet with others and our world and karma gets entangled with others. Many people have issues with money, and their abuse and view of money easily bleeds over into our lives. Continue reading
Psychic Advice For The Holiday Madness
It’s important this season to remember not everyone is kind, and not everyone cares and is compassionate. I can relate to my clients when they say it is really difficult to be around certain people during the holidays, because of the ego, pride issues that many have. It does little for one’s peace of mind.
I give the same advice I try and bide by myself, which is remembering these people we only have to see once or twice a year. So, try your best to be civil. It’s hard even for those of us that remote view and see how our ‘loved ones’ speak so ‘lovingly’ of us behind our back, and how they focus on the things of this world instead of what matters the most. It’s All Up In The Air…
Many years ago, when my husband and I were just a young couple with two lovely little daughters, we lived in the beautiful province of Quebec, Canada. Around about this same time his parents resided on an army base in the province of Ontario, which was a five hour drive from where our home was located. Every few months or so we would load up the girls in the car and set off for a weekend visit to the in-laws.
One particular Sunday, at the end of another visit, we embarked on the usual five hour trek back home. It was a very pleasant day, the sun was trying to make its presence known and the traffic, as luck would have it, was just moderate. The Legacy Of Limiting Beliefs
So many people live their life with the beliefs of their ancestors. Others just follow like sheep whatever their spiritual community, or the culture that they grew up in, or now live in.
Some people never question or challenge any of the things they have heard since childhood. Some of these limiting beliefs and ideas have been passed down from generation to generation, and have remained the same for thousands of years. Unless we question some of these outdated beliefs or information, we will stay stuck in limited thinking – always inside the box.
Sometimes we stay stuck thinking or feeling only how our parents of grandparents felt and thought. For example, people whose parents or grandparents lived through a great depression, or have had to endure a scarcity food or heat supply, the primary survival necessities, may feel they have to save everything. What if I will need it someday? I paid so much for it and its too perfectly good to discard. What if, what if.
Restlessness Is A Spiritual Growth Opportunity
When I was a teenager, one of my more ‘vocal’ cousins said to me, “You don’t seem to stay in one place for very long… just five minutes and, poof, you’re off again!”
At that time of my life I could put this down to my musician father’s wanderlust. He was a Sagittarius, and we not only often moved towns and countries, but frequently continents too. Such an unsettling way of life is usually not ideal for a Cancer like myself, but I seem to have inherited my father’s restless genes.
Today, my husband and I are in a tranquil setting since our international relocation over two years ago from a more volatile environment. Still, the restlessness persists. My menagerie of pets – five dogs and three cats – at least keep me relatively at peace.
I do know that actions provoked by restlessness can involve inevitable stresses, as was the case with our most recent big move. Unlike the days when I was still doing things solo, or when I was still living with my parents, this time I had the many pets to consider. Their well-being moving from one continent to another was one of the biggest stresses I have ever experienced. Continue reading
