People ask me what it’s like to live with Spirit. They wonder whether I can read minds or whether Spirit is constantly speaking in my ear. I think sometimes they envision a little angel on my shoulder, chattering in a non-stop staccato as I go through the day.

The simple answer is that I am no different from anyone else. Spirit does not come forward without reason, unless I call on them specifically to do a psychic reading.

Aha! So what does ‘without reason’ mean? Well, there have been times when I have been very glad of my connection to Spirit. When they want to, they can interrupt my thinking, just as if they were sitting right beside me. That can be handy when there’s a warning to be had.

One time, while driving along a 16-lane highway, I suddenly veered from the core lanes into the collectors without a lot of warning for the friend who was following behind me. All those who have watched the television series Medium know that psychics are also parents, spouses, siblings, aunts, uncles, and employees. Perhaps, the life of an online psychic is less well understood.

Over the years that I have been doing this job, I have learned a great deal. Primarily, consider what drives us. We psychics are like public school teachers or clergy. We do this job because it is who we are and what we love doing. We are passionate about helping others with our God-given and Spirit enhanced gifts. Many great minds have been fascinated by the mysterious depth and magical accuracy of astrology. Sir Isaac Newton (perhaps one of the greatest intellects to have graced our planet) once had the following exchange with Edmund Halley:

Edmund Halley: “Why do you believe in Astrology?”

Sir Isaac Newton: “I have studied the subject, Mr. Halley. You have not!”

Benjamin Franklin, Carl Jung, and Galileo also believed in astrology. It is the world’s oldest science as reflected by this quote from Joanne Martine Woolfolk:

“The Study of the Sun, the Moon, stars, eclipses, day and night, began well before recorded history.  There are reindeer bones and tusks of mammoths from the Ice Age that have notches carved on them picturing the phases of the Moon.  These bones and tusks are dated between 25,000 and 10,000 B.C., and some scientists place them as long ago as 32,000 B.C.!” Read the rest of this entry »

What happens when you fool the psychic? I am certain a small portion of my callers ‘test the psychic’. This is part of our job. Often we get questions like: ‘What am I thinking now?’ or ‘Tell me about Mark’ (not telling me it’s her husband, and setting the question so that with a retort like “He’s my husband” and ending a conversation, without my being able to explain perhaps what he is really feeling and why). Other techniques are easy to spot, such as clients laughing or snickering during the reading.

I deal with these cases very patiently because I am probably picking up on another dominant energy in their life, and as a card reader can tell as they are asking the question, which question is being asked. It’s like a running log of the client’s questions, possible answers, and the subsequent ‘report’ which will tell me, as the reader, whether the client is lying or not. Read the rest of this entry »

The best gift you will ever give yourself is learning how not to take things personally.

I was talking with a dear client in free chat on Psychic Access the other day and she mentioned that while it had been a hard road, she had finally gotten to the point where she didn’t take things personally anymore. I was so happy, I did the happy dance right there in my chair, yes I did! And this is a person whom, as so many of us walking this earth, has been dealt over the years more bad cards than any one person should.

So if she can learn this very valuable lesson, do you, dear reader, think that it is possible for you to do the same? Are you really ready for an act of incredible bravery? Because that is what this is, you know. Releasing the need to blame others; questioning others for why they are doing what it is you may perceive they are doing to you… it is incredibly freeing!
