In my 30 years as a psychic, I have experienced the joy of assisting so many people on their journey. There’s no greater feeling of satisfaction than to be able to help someone become ‘unstuck’ in their life. To present enough of a future cushion to someone, that they feel confident in moving forward, and to assist someone in developing enough faith in themselves and the flow of life, to trust that most fears that they have about the future never come to pass, is a fulfilling task.
However, I’m finding lately that psychic readings are shifting in my practice. As the consciousness of the planet expands, so does the consciousness of the psychic reader. In the past most psychic readings could almost be formatted and they had a lot of the same elements: people were primarily looking to find love, or that perfect job, or to improve their living conditions. These matters remain the standard areas of concern – the areas that affect our very survival. The readings I did for many years rarely deviated from this norm. Read the rest of this entry »
For most people the rule of thumb for choosing a psychic seems to be accuracy. Again and again, over the years, I have asked clients why they had chosen me to read for them, and the majority of time the response has always been, “Because your reviews reflect a high level of accuracy.”
I understand the logic behind the choice, but is it really that simple? Over time, some clients would drift away, while others would continue reading with me, sometimes for years. So, obviously there was something more, something deeper to the connection than just my level of accuracy.
The second deciding factor for clients appears to be referral, or word-of-mouth. If a friend had a great reading with a particular psychic, understandably one would be moved to check the psychic out for yourself. Yet, there still seemed to be something more in the mix, something that I could not put my finger on. Read the rest of this entry »
To employ a psychic as a guide or sounding board can be a very empowering experience, or it can be an experience which over time can leave you feeling that your own decisions cannot be relied on and that without the direction of that other person your life would fall apart.
My ultimate goal with psychic reading work has always been to empower the individual to ultimately develop the confidence to access their own inner knowing. This way they can come to a place in their life where they felt confident enough to rely on their own intuition and have a solid enough inner knowing that they can move forward with these impressions on their own, creating a secure and happy future for themselves. I have lost count of how many times I’ve done a psychic reading and just as the session is about to end, the caller would belatedly say something like, “Oh, I just remembered what I actually wanted to ask, I almost forgot…” Inevitably, this is then followed by the winding down beep indicating that they have run out of time… and they are gone. And there I sit, so frustrated. Too often there is an important issue that the reading should focus on, but it gets lost in the immediacy of the emotions the client was feeling at the beginning of the reading.
In my experience, if a client does not prepare for the reading and struggle to focus once it’s begun, those pressing issues often gets steamrolled, until it’s too late to get to it. I’ve tried so many different techniques, in an attempt to help facilitate centering the energetics of the reading, that it finally brought me to the realization that this wasn’t something that I could accomplish on my end. The focus has to come from the person receiving the psychic reading. Read the rest of this entry »
Let us love ourselves without judgment, because when we judge, we carry blame and guilt; we succumb to a life lived in shame that we don’t deserve. In the end we feel a need for self-punishment, for offenses we’ve only imagined we committed. Judgment causes us to lose perspective, to lose sight of our lovelier qualities, the kindnesses we have performed, the generosity we have extended. Let us strengthen our will to forgive ourselves in this, and in every moment.
Clear our minds of emotional poisons and self-judgments, so we can live our lives in complete peace and love. Let us appreciate our mistakes for the tools of change they are. Instead of transforming them into “sins” that we have used in the past to judge ourselves by. Let us be quick to point out our loved ones’ good qualities and refrain from reminding them of their shortcomings. Read the rest of this entry »
I have often heard people refer to psychics as a “clairvoyants.” I loved the sound of the word, but I was never quite sure what it meant. So, I wrote it off as just another fancy way to say someone is psychic, until recently when a client insisted that I was a clairvoyant, not a psychic.
I asked her why she was insistent upon using the word clairvoyant and she said she always understood the word psychic to be more one-dimensional, and possibly a synonym for “fortune teller”.” Clairvoyant is an entirely different level of seeing, she said. I was confused, but she just laughed and said, “Just know that I was paying you a compliment.”
According to my client a psychic for the most part is an advisor on the future, and sometimes the present, but a clairvoyant sees a situation from every possible level, including the spiritual. The clairvoyant’s spirituality usually precedes their psychic abilities. She certainly got me thinking, so I decided to explore the difference. Read the rest of this entry »
