At first, I hesitated to tell you this story. Why? Because some of the stories I relate makes people shudder, or roll their eyes. But tell it, I will. Enjoy this tale, but don’t try this stunt at home.

It was a bright sunny day in the Rocky Mountains. I had just turned seven years old and it was spring. Growing up on a ranch, many animals were around me all day. Usually, especially when we had warm weather on the farm, I was outside looking for what I could do to entertain myself.

I walked down the fields and what did I see – a brand new Black Angus bull in our neighbor’s field. All the way back towards his property’s end stood the bull, looking at me. I guess he was pretty smart and just felt I’d do something annoying to him. I could tell, and he did not care if I knew what he was thinking. Now, the only thing in the middle of this neighbor’s field, besides that bucky, studly Black Angus, was this big pile of chopped straw, covered with black plastic. A few night ago, I was getting ready for bed, and noticed a very malevolent energy emanating from a corner of the bedroom. It had been a rough few days and I was in no mood to entertain the entity’s presence or lend it energy. I knew it had come to spook me and draw me into fear and worry.

The light was off so I walked over and flipped on the switch. Immediately the energy of the room felt better and I noticed this malevolent energy retreat into the corner. It shrank. “So we understand one another”, I thought.  So we understand each other. You want to play spook games and I’m not in the mood. Past Life Regression was all the rage when I was in my early 40’s.

Around that time Brian L. Weiss M.D. had published a book entitled Through Time Into Healing, which is about this very subject. Because he brought modern day awareness of past lives to the Western world, he is also known as the Father of Modern Day Past Life Regression.

Dr. Weiss was working with his clients using hypnotherapy. During these sessions many of them were reporting memories or descriptions of people, places and situations that in no way could possibly be experiences from their present lifetime.

Many of his patients were displaying this odd phenomenon and so many were seeing other lives during his therapy sessions, that he eventually he had to face a few facts. Read the rest of this entry »

There is not a person I know that is not fond of stones, or crystals. I have always referred to them as ‘The Stone People’, because this is what my mother called them and it seemed right.

As a child I was taught that all life on Earth is sentient and conscious in its own way. To me that means all things are ‘people’. There are Plant People, Stone People, Animal People, Insect People, and the list goes on and on.

When people start to awaken and connect to other life-forms the Stone People are one of the first they seek out. Why is this? Simple, it’s because they are made of the same elements we are!

We gravitate to their healing powers. Children have always been in tune with them. How many kids do you know or remember that always had rocks in their pockets? How many adults do you know that still do? Many do all over the world. Read the rest of this entry »

Do something nice for someone today. It doesn’t have to be a big deal. Just reach out, in deed or in thought. For a few moments, take a break and think of a time when you were downhearted. Did someone reach out to you? Surely they did. Even if it’s a spirit guide, send them nice thoughts of thanks and appreciation.

Many times my husband come home with goodies or treats, because he is also very much in touch with my main spirit guides and they help him. He then comes home bearing a sack of big sweet chunks of Dulces De Calabasas (Mexican pumpkin candy) my spirit guides just love. Me too! I will put a piece out for them and sure enough, the day goes well. All are happy and peaceful in our home.

Why not call a friend to let you know you’re thinking of them? Yes, some will vent and let off steam, but even if they do, you can still focus on feeling the love and appreciation pouring out to you and going straight to your heart. It is a win-win situation Read the rest of this entry »

It is unfortunate that more people do not give themselves permission to see their guides.

Spirit guides can be people we have lived with, or associated with, in other lifetimes. They can appear in the form of animals, supernatural beings from other worlds, ghosts or as people we meet in this lifetime.

Many people are taught that it is impossible to see their guides or other beings, unless it is in the physical. Not to fear, guides know this and they often do show up in physical form! They connect with us in ways that make it easy for us to recognize that we have just witnessed a guide. “But, I still cannot see them”, you say. Why not? Many things could be the cause of this.

Above all you may be trying too hard. This is akin to thinking we have to concentrate really hard, like we do when taking a test – paying attention really hard. The spirit world doesn’t work that way. They want us to be open and ultra-aware, or as I call it, uber-aware! Wide awake, but relaxed and in the zone. Read the rest of this entry »

I was formally initiated and recognized as a shaman. After that, I could wear the badge, don the robes and carry the ’staff’. I could work with spirits.

This did not miraculously happen after a quick, three-week course. It also did not take place after a longer year, or two year course. There were many lessons, tests I had to pass first, before I signed on the dotted line. It would be a life’s work and beyond. No retirement.

Soon after that formal initiation doors opened, business increased, money came in, and life was indeed rosy and sweet. There was a form of certainty, a type of knowing. I had no doubt. None. This knowing of my path came into my heart, and it has never left since.

Robert Anton Wilson once said, “A true initiation never ends”, and I agree. Yet without that formal ceremony and signing (with me stating “I will do this!”) it was not official.
