I read for a lady yesterday, whose little dog had passed to spirit. I could see her dog and described him to her. I also felt I had to emphasize that this little dog was using his back legs, as if spirit was specifically drawing my attention to that detail.

It turned out the little dog had suffered a stroke and no longer had the use of his back legs when he passed to spirit. But in my vision he was jumping around and standing on his back legs, getting loads of love and attention, and basically showing off that he could use his legs once again.

I could feel this lady’s pain and the excitement of the dog to be making contact with his owner from the other side, but I felt so sad that she had no knowledge of what happens when an animal or human crosses over to the other side. Sometimes mediums just give out the details of their clairvoyant visions, without realizing the significance to the recipient. Read the rest of this entry »

I developed as a medium in a Spiritualist church and one of my first experiences of astral travel was while tuning into spirit in the development circle. I was joined on this journey by my favorite uncle.

I was very close to my uncle before he passed away. As a child it would break my heart when he had finished his holiday with us and would have to go back to work hundreds of miles away.

So naturally, as I grew older, I decided I would like to live and work with him in London. I longed to see the bright lights and be a part of the excitement of city life, but be safe too. Sadly, he passed away before anything could come of my plans. I missed him terribly. He taught me all I knew about spirit and ghostly visitations, so it seemed fitting that he should take me on my first trip into the spiritual realm. Read the rest of this entry »

It is amazing how colorful and strange the daily life experiences of a psychic medium can be. Not only do we experience all manner of paranormal encounters, but we also work with so many interesting people.

A good example would be a friend and fellow psychic who has some fascinating superstitions. I had to laugh recently, when she told me that when she reads she always wears certain jewelry, namely sterling silver and a special headscarf. She also has a pair of lucky pants for doing the lottery and playing bingo, as well as certain shoes she wears for positivity and Parma Violets sweets for doing readings over the phone. I am a volunteer for the Cats Protection League here in Scotland and one of our slogans for this year is “bring a cat in from the cold this winter”.

A lot of people do not have the room to foster or take in a rescue cat, but there are other ways to help – by donating food, clean blankets, cat toys, gifts of money. Everything donated is so valued and appreciated. If you don’t know where to donate, ask you local vet or search the Internet.

My complete admiration goes to those vets who don’t charge exorbitant fees and have charity funds in place to help people who can’t afford treatment for their pets, like the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA). Read the rest of this entry »

I have come through the ranks over the years in the psychic reading industry and it hasn’t been easy. We work very hard and have to take a lot of criticism.

My heart went out recently to Britain’s best-loved psychic, Sally Morgan, when she was branded as a scam artist and fraud based on the ridiculous accusations of just one anonymous person who called in to a radio show. The worst for me was the skeptic who appeared on UK’s morning television a few days after. Oh, how I would have liked to wipe that arrogant, smug grin off his face..!

But then I thought, “Calm down Lily, he will realize when he gets to the other side that he was in the wrong. The believers will then have the last laugh. We have a tough enough job trying to reach the skeptics and spread the Great Truth that there is life after death and that spirit communication goes on in its many forms. Since joining Psychic Access several months ago, I find our blog site is like a wonderful school for all things metaphysical. To read the various blogs posts is a pleasure, because I can learn from my colleagues and their experiences. To submit a blog is the perfect opportunity to air my views and even let off some steam! All very healthy.

The feedback system on Psychic Access also gives us a chance to learn from our clients’ comments, to see where we can improve or deliver a reading in a better way. Personally, I never feel I’m good enough, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It is best not to get carried away with one’s self-importance or to do spiritual work from the ego. Spirit will soon ground us if we try that!

Although we cannot personally interact with our colleagues at Psychic Access, I do feel I am getting to know the other psychic bloggers indirectly through their posts. I have been given much food for thought, learned a lot and I feel more knowledgeable about all things spiritual. I absolutely love the quotes from famous people added to our blogs – so profound – and some of the photos often have me in peals of laughter. Read the rest of this entry »

Today, while reading for a client, my mind suddenly went totally blank.

I considered ending the reading, when all of a sudden it was as if a ‘light switched on’ and several loved ones came through with messages for the client. They came in like a bus emptying out at its destination!

For a moment there I thought I might have lost my touch. The experience made me realize how much I love my work. Where would I be without my gift of mediumship?

Being a medium has been a part of my life since I can remember, long before I worked as a professional psychic. My sister is also a psychic medium and we shared many experiences from a young age. Some more pleasant than others. Read the rest of this entry »
