It just infuriates me how some authors and healers have capitalized on the concept of soulmates. They sell highly romanticized visions of ‘happily ever afters’ to the general public and feed the ‘love hungry’ with sugar-coated hope.

Can it a soulmate connection happen? Sure, absolutely! Anything is possible. One day you could look into the eyes of Mr. Destiny across the crowded room and hear the music swell, while your heart leaps out of your chest. And he can push everyone out of the way to rush towards you, like it happens in some perfume commercials! Then he might just hold you in his arms, before he whisks you away to marital bliss.

Yes, it can happen. But, like the majority of the population and due to the nature of our species, we’re most likely to have to kiss many frogs before we find our princes and princesses. It’s enough to make you croak…! Read the rest of this entry »

Fear of anything you don’t understand is a natural response. It warms my heart when I tell people what I do for a living, and they do ask. But, my ultimate answer to anyone who’s just simply afraid to find out what may be in the cards for their future is that once you know what’s coming, you have the power to change it. For most, this is eases their mind, but for some it just confirms that their choices are their own responsibility.

This is going to sound terrible, but you’d be amazed of how many people prefer to have decisions made for them. There’s a strange peace, I guess, to being dictated to and not having to risk making mistakes. You know who I’m talking about: the ones who vote the way others do, or can’t explain why they believe something other than, “So and so said…” These people may not necessarily be happy, per se, but they have very different stress levels than those who are more independent. Knowledge is power. But, for some, knowledge is just, “interesting.” Read the rest of this entry »

Online psychic readers often have to deal with calls from anxious or hurried  clients. An example of a typical Impatient Call would be as follows:

Caller: “Yeah, I’m curious as to why all these psychics have been telling me something was going to happen by a certain date, but it hasn’t?”

Psychic: “Are you following their advice?”

Caller: “Huh?”

Psychic: “Are you going where they said it was going to happen or are you doing what you need to do to be ready to receive what you asked for?”

Caller: “Uh, well…”

Numerologically speaking the year 2012 has absolutely nothing to do with the world coming to an untimely end. Many of us can recall about ten years ago the ‘end of the world’ was originally calculated to occur in 2112. It was a much more intriguing date due to the palindrome pattern, which can be construed as physically illustrating that “as it was in the beginning, so it shall be in the end.”

A number of factors may have influenced the date change, but the most plausible and easily accepted theory is simple commercialism. Armageddon sometime sells better than sex (remember the Y2K Millennium bug panic?)

It was only recently that a private religious cult once again made international headlines by predicting and preparing for the Rapture that was to take place on May 20, 2010.  They had sold thousands of pieces of merchandise, took in thousands of dollars in donations and savings, and gained hundreds of followers. Whether it be fear, or hope for freedom from the mundane, the followers were willing to sacrifice their lives and their livelihoods for the cause. And we all know how that turned out.
