Crossing Over The Rainbow Bridge
I read for a lady yesterday, whose little dog had passed to spirit. I could see her dog and described him to her. I also felt I had to emphasize that this little dog was using his back legs, as if spirit was specifically drawing my attention to that detail.
It turned out the little dog had suffered a stroke and no longer had the use of his back legs when he passed to spirit. But in my vision he was jumping around and standing on his back legs, getting loads of love and attention, and basically showing off that he could use his legs once again.
I could feel this lady’s pain and the excitement of the dog to be making contact with his owner from the other side, but I felt so sad that she had no knowledge of what happens when an animal or human crosses over to the other side. Sometimes mediums just give out the details of their clairvoyant visions, without realizing the significance to the recipient.
What happens after death is so unspeakably glorious that our imagination and our feelings do not suffice to form even an approximate conception of it. The dissolution of our time-bound form in eternity brings no loss of meaning ~ Carl Jung
This lady was just so happy and relieved. If I could have hugged her and shared a bit of my knowledge then I could say, “Yes, that was a job well done”, but I felt I had left her in the dark. The best I could say to her at the time, because our time was so limited, was to read some afterlife and mediumship books from her library, or to buy some online, because it is amazing how a bit of knowledge and proof can serve as a rock in times of bereavement.
When our hearts are torn in two through bereavement, it is hard for our spirit loved ones to make their presence known to us. We have all lost family members, friends or pets. It’s a part of life and the devastation their passing leaves can be quite unbearable. But when you get a little sign from them, like sensing them beside you, or a scent, or a memory, or a message through a psychic medium, then you know they are very near and it helps to ease the pain.
Why don’t more people read the books and learn and explore the possibilities? We study for years to learn our chosen careers, so why don’t we want to find out what is ahead for us, when time comes for the inevitable death of our physical body? For some people it is the end, but as a medium I know that the truth is very different. In fact, crossing over is something to look forward to when our work is done here on earth.
I see the rainbow in the sky, the dew upon the grass; I see them, and I ask not why they glimmer or they pass. With folded arms I linger not to call them back; ’twere vain: In this, or in some other spot, I know they’ll shine again ~ Walter Savage Landor
I can’t think of anything nicer than going home one day, and I certainly have no fears from what I have seen beyond the veil thus far. Yes, in this case ‘the grass is certainly greener’ on the other side.
I look forward to being reunited with my pets and family someday, what a happy day that will be. My only worry is the ones that are left behind here on earth. It is sad to know how others will have to cope with our passing, and the void we may leave in the physical sense in their lives.
To anyone suffering bereavement my advice is to read the spiritual books, but also to seek proof through personal signs, or by consulting a medium. Then believe what you want to believe, no matter how fairytale-like your thoughts may seem to be. May the Angels bring healing and peace and insight to you during your time of grief. Know that your loved one or pet has merely crossed over the rainbow bridge to go on to the summer land.

I love your blog Lily Lamplight. Pets on the other side is a subject very close to my heart, more-so since losing 2 special canine friends last year. You’ve captured it so beautifully with your gift and your portrayal of the subject!
