Can the dearly departed hear our music? Can we communicate with the other side through music? I am sure this is possible, as I have personally experienced evidence of it. Music can indeed influence the energy of a spirit or ghost.
When I was a little boy, my mother would always play the hymn Onward Christian Soldiers for us on Sundays, because we were still too young to go to church. Before she passed away she asked me if I would go her grave site on her birthday and play that song. How could I say no? I have been doing it every year since.
In those days my dad would go to church alone, while mom stayed home with us. But he was not as much into the Christian music as my mother was. He was putting in many long hours as a fire fighter for the city of Columbus, Ohio, and he had hard time keeping his eyes open during services. The only reason he went to church was to make my mother happy.
Music is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual life ~ Ludwig van Beethoven
My dad did enjoy the music played by the marching band before every Ohio State football game. We would have to listen to the music with him. It seemed like forever for us kids, because the marching band is the pride of the Buckeyes!
In those days it was still an old-fashioned record player with a needle and a pressed vinyl record. My dad’s wish was, when one day he passed away, we would play that very same Ohio State Marching Band music. When the day finally came, we had a problem finding that old vinyl recording, so we had to use a CD recording instead, but were able to fulfill his wish.
If in the after life there is not music, we will have to import it ~ Doménico Cieri Estrada
It has been years since both of my parents have passed. At times I hear Onward Christian Soldiers echoing for a moment some place in my house, or at my brother’s and sister’s homes. And when I play the CD of the Ohio State Marching Band my father lets me know he is still around, because I smell his cigar smoke once in a while.
I strongly believe that whoever has impacted us in our life in a positive way will let us know that they are still around after they cross over to the other side. They miss us as much as we miss them.
Remember to always cherish the loved ones who make an impact on our life now, while they are still with you, because it creates a positive foundation that you can preserve in your heart for the rest of your life.
