The Dearly Undeparted

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comI never thought I would spend some time in a severely haunted house, yet it ended up being a really interesting experience. It had not only one main spirit, but several others. I was able to document several incidents that were very interesting and it also seemed to have a very strong opinion, as if it were still very much of this world.

It must have been an older spirit from the turn of the century, perhaps an old revolutionary, or perhaps an military personality. The home was known to paranormal investigators as a place of interest. The communication I received was aimed at me… and yes, it always worked better at night!

What I know from the places I have lived and worked in, spirits do not need one area to reside in. They can occasionally wander. This was the case, for example, in one in the fields in which my family resided, in which you would see the farmers from the original farmland traversing with their agricultural equipment, and perhaps even their horses from the days of the pioneers.

Although I do not enjoy mediumship, nor advertise it for work, I do find dimensionalism interesting, and the assignation of personality through it fascinating. The personality that I encountered at the haunted house was highly protective and incredibly powerful, even though it did not present as an apparition.

It expressed dissatisfaction by being a poltergeist. It would slam doors, blow light bulbs and throw things off the table. Yet, in this three bedroom home with a long hallway, this was usually meant in my circumstances to guide me, or as a ‘kindness.’ It often happened when I was in the other room, and often happened with an exclamation by the spirit.

It lamented not having a real book or the Bible to read, so it may have been a fairly conservative personality. It also did have a dislike for some of the programming on TV in particular, where it threw my lamp across the living room and down the hallway down, and told me to cancel my cable. It had grown so frustrated at all the violence.

Not only that, it was also amazing at leaving clues and messages. Yet, it would only communicate with certain persons, and again, would fall silent in the gaze of a person who wanted to abuse them, or perhaps did not care about the manner in which it passed.

My saddest recollection of leaving was the fact that I could not take it with me, as it was a good guardian, and that indeed this ethereal creature will be left forever within that beautiful home, looking for a good human friend, a gentle human heart and a soft spirit that it can whisper its secrets to, and play with.

So, if you should come across a spirit presence, friend it, and perhaps find out why it passed – it needs counsel. Yet, with the fixed presences in older homes, they rarely want to depart for some reason. Often they cannot. They do not understand why not.  Their life’s ending must somehow be acknowledged. My new friend’s last spiritual gasp to me was again, as I left, “I am trapped, I cannot breathe”. And as such I left it. And I handed the keys back.
