For The Human Spirit

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comI have been talking to clients and people about the general state of mind right now. What is making us work as a society and what does not? What makes us motion, what is makes us fluid, what is makes us indispensable? What some clients have concerns about is a heightened state of agitation in the general population. This is not due to anything electronic or anything that I could say is brought about by a ‘thing’ in everyone’s opinion.

Many of my clients are well-educated or experienced, in managerial positions, and are wondering what to do about the persons now that are unable to manage themselves or how they are coping. How does one choose a good person over a bad one, and will the mood pass? Will this person ever get over their disposition or will they degrade? What can we do to help them, or should we perhaps move on to the next person?

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

The only piece of advice I can offer is this. This is a fleeting state of being. We have to learn from our own actions. Surely if people want to talk and make judgments that may or may not work for them, then in course they will learn to act on them or rely on themselves. The only problem is what is termed ‘swarm’ behavior. Swarm behavior will override advice or sound judgment and oftentimes can be seen as ‘mass emotional states’ that may not be altered in the immediate sense.

What is curious about humans is that they are individualistic. This makes for creativity, ingenuity, invention, and this is sometimes borne of folly and initiative.  What I have noticed about animal behavior is that they work well as groups as they have to survive. It is a sense of organization and consensus that does not defy. There is cooperation and a good disposition which does not disregard the other, and they tend to not compete for the sense of play, and even if only as competitors for territory they have well established rules of order and respect. There is no absolute disregard for another person’s space, and there is a tacit understanding for the injured, the sick, the well being of the young and the elders, and for other species as well. There is also cross-species communication. In other words, animals are instinctively not biased.

When we look at humans, or us per se, rules are defined by us to organize and this is doing us a disservice. I have noted that this not through my work but through face to face communication, and what is needed is not only conversation but also confirmation of the bias. This does not mean manipulation to an end, but actually to preserve the species, all of them, not just the individual. It is simply so tiring to see so many of you suffer endlessly, and I listen all the time everywhere to all of your concerns. I listen outdoors, on transport, in public spaces and in the media, and the concerns are the same. Why are some people being disregarded? Why are some maltreated? What can mitigate this feeling, and are they deserving, why are the undeserving being treated thus?

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man ~ G.B. Shaw

Really, in fact, one does not only need intuition to survive – one needs logic. Logic dictates that should you treat your group well, that they should look after you. And if seen as a species in general, we are. I simply feel that we are looking at things through a specific lens right now, that for now we may not be perceiving things in an empirical manner. This means it is flawed as it is only through one specific perception.

For all the miscommunication and gossip and confusion I hear I also feel so much heart in all of you. And intentionally broaden your perspectives beyond the obvious and remember there is world of learning and do not enclose yourselves in muted beliefs to distract yourselves or defer from pain.  that you will for 2018 will follow my example and continue to ignore the negative, continue along the logical route, and remember, everything is as it always was, and I still in my soul so love the human spirit, despite being like many of us, especially in the counseling industry being hurt time and time again, even despite seeming misconstrued biases, we are still a lovely species, with good hearts, and to not ever give up on what makes us believe in giving, in offering up peace and in being better people. All we can continue to do is continue to care despite miscommunications, and continue to help when it does not seem to reach that person.
