Dreams – Messages From Your Unconscious

Get a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comDreams tell the hidden truth and help us to understand ourselves. Shamans and mystics believe that there are basically three types of dreams.

Lower world dreams connect us with our instincts. We see these dreams in archetypal symbols, myths, colors, nature, gods, goddesses, animas, elementals and mythical beasts and characters. There are secrets hidden in these symbols. Archetypes are also present in everyday objects such as cars, or clothes.

Middle world dreams are where we work out emotional issues in our daily lives. We dream about ourselves at work, play, and where we live. We dream of our relationships, our crushes, old flames, our family.

These dreams can also reveal what is hidden from our daily awareness. They contain prophetic information and help us solve problems. For example, we may meet our next boss, learn facts about loved ones, see our future mate, learn secrets about those around us, and reveal hidden enemies.

We may also discover our secret desires. We may do things in our dream which we would never do in real life. These dreams reveal our secret feelings.

Upper world dreams reveal the mystical realms of the unknown. Here we receive messages from a celestial guide, see planets and stars, speak to loved ones from the other side, experience the paranormal, see signs, and hear messages from angels. These dreams are profoundly clear. We understand the messages and should carefully heed them.

Many dreams have a prophetic quality. In Shakespeare’s play by the same name, Julius Caesar did not heed a soothsayer’s advice, or the warnings of his wife Calpurnia, who had a dream of his death by betrayal. He also disregarded his faithful follower, the seer Arteriosus. They cautioned him not to go to the Capitol on the Ides of March. If only he had heeded their words.

Unlocking the mysteries of your dreams, your secret self, will help you toward greater self-knowledge and wisdom. The best way is to begin by keeping a dream journal. Keep it simple and place one beside your bed. I suggest buying a nice journal and pen just for you. Any diary, or a notebook will do.

You will want to record your dreams as soon as you awaken. Dreams are quickly forgotten. Write everything down that you remember. What did you see, how did you feel, where were you and what were you doing? Perhaps you were flying over roof tops, or driving through mountains. Who else was there? Was it day or night? List any objects, colors, emotions, situations, or states of being. Write down your dream stories and all details. Besides the story itself, all of the separate details each carry a deeper or symbolic meaning.

Prepare for good sleep. It is important to get enough sleep for vivid dreams to occur. Before bed, it’s helpful to completely relax. Take a warm bath, listen to soothing music, drink herb tea. Light a scented candle, or use an atomizer infused with natural lavender, or neroli. Unplug from the television, computer, and your cell phone. Relax your body in a clean comfortable bed and drift into sleep.

There are four stages of sleep.

  1. Moving from wakefulness to sleep. The events of the day cross your inner vision here.
  2. The sleeper becomes unaware of outside stimuli
  3. Deep sleep
  4. Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep. Dreams occur during all phases of sleep, but REM is where we dream the most vividly. Our motor movement locks down, and we are basically paralyzed during this stage of sleep.

These cycles recur, with the sleeper moving through the stages several times every night.

Upon wakening, and after writing your dreams down to remember them, you can decode them. Remember everything has an individual meaning, as well as a holistic significance. Colors especially foretell a long life, and emotions are specific to each color. For example, red means passion or anger, while yellow means caution or waiting.

Decode your dreams according to what symbols mean to you as an individual. A dream catcher placed with intention above your bed  can catch your good dreams and prevent nightmares, thereby having a positive psychological effect on you. A good dream dictionary can help you decode, and it is also wise to speak with a good psychic for those more profoundly puzzling dreams.
