We enjoyed the Sacred Waterfall so much that we decided to go back a second time. It was a most amazing experience as we saw the legendary Blue Butterfly numerous times on this second trip. I also brought all the photos and the healing list along with me for a sacred waterfall healing.
The day prior we asked the Blue Butterfly, together as a group, to come and greet us. During our opening prayer, before walking down to the sacred site of the waterfall, we once again invited the Blue Butterfly to join us on this healing journey. Later, as I was walking down the path leading the group, I had the first sighting of the blue butterfly! He appeared out of nowhere and I turned around to tell the group, but sadly he flew away without anyone else seeing it.
Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you ~ Nathaniel Hawthorne
When we got down to the second waiting area, before entering the Sacred Waterfall, we were all intensely meditating, and I began to talk to the Blue Butterfly that I had just seen. I said, “Please come back. The group is never going to believe that I actually saw you.” In my mind’s eye, I could see him swoop right through us and then fly down to the valley below. Suddenly, someone next to me gasped and I watched the Blue Butterfly swoop through the group of us sitting there on the benches and flutter down the valley, just like my vision had shown an instant before! Then a lady, who had just finished her visit to the Sacred Waterfall, was walking up the path and another butterfly flew above her as if to give her extra healing and blessings.
Finally, I led our group down to the next area, where we undressed down to our bathing suits. We then walked down the hill and across the bridge to the actual site of the waterfall. I was the first to go under the waterfall, and just before I submerged my head I could hear the ladies gasp and point. The Blue Butterfly had come one last and final time, and flew over me just as I had put my head into the waterfall asking to be cleansed and cleared of anything that was not serving me.
It was most definitely a beautiful, transformational experience for all of us.
Then we came back to the Pousada and ate lunch. Several of us journeyed over to the soup kitchen in town and it was quite fun. We took some group photos and watched a bit of Emma Bragdon’s documentary on John of God. Then I went to the Casa and had a most relaxing crystal bed session. I placed all of the photos and the healing list right on my stomach and prayed for everyone for 20 minutes. The healing Casa Entity present was Dom Inácio.
Next, Doriane and I shared in Casa singing and we all gathered to hear Diego’s orientation a second time. We headed back to the Casa and met two wonderful women from India. We also met and befriended two lovely women from Denmark. The one Danish lady and I had an incredible “soul sister” connection and I got visions of us together in a past life as nuns.
Beautiful and graceful, varied and enchanting, small but approachable, butterflies lead you to the sunny side of life. And everyone deserves a little sunshine ~ Jeffrey Glassberg
Bedtime was early, at 8:00pm, as it was a “White Night” for many in our group, which is when the Casa Entities come and remove your stitches from the Spiritual Intervention from the previous week. Overall, it was another divine and delightful day of laughing, sharing, and healing.
The Blue Butterfly
The website of the Rainforest Alliance, an international nonprofit organization that works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods, describes the blue morpho butterfly’s wings are bright blue, edged with black. The blue morpho is among the largest butterflies in the world, with wings spanning from five to eight inches. Their vivid, iridescent blue coloring is a result of the microscopic scales on the backs of their wings, which reflect light. The underside of the morpho’s wings, on the other hand, is a dull brown color with many eyespots, providing camouflage against predators such as birds and insects when its wings are closed.
When the blue morpho flies, the contrasting bright blue and dull brown colors flash, making it look like the morpho is appearing and disappearing. The males’ wings are broader than those of the females and appear to be brighter in color. It only lives 115 days. They can be found in Mexico and South America. When threatened they release a strong smell from a gland that opens between their front legs. Morpho butterflies dwell in the forest canopy layer and rarely come near the understorey and forest floor layers.
