Have you ever been attracted to someone and were not sure of their true intentions toward you? Yet, your gut, despite any logical reasons, was telling you to stay away, or that something was just not right?
Do you often hear that you are too sensitive, or that you take things too personally? Do you find yourself worrying what others think of you, or what their true intentions are?
Have you found yourself second guessing yourself, acting or saying things that went against your gut… only to discover in retrospect that your initial impression was accurate? Had you acted then, it would have saved you a great deal of heartache and loss – emotionally, physically or financially?
The heart has its reasons which reason knows not ~ Blaise Pascal
If you have ever felt this way, don’t worry. You are not alone. Many of my clients struggle with these issues and they often experience a great deal of confusion, stress and emotional pain, and they struggle as a result.
One of the main reasons I believe this occurs is because we live in a culture that likes to dichotomize or separate individuals or experiences, so that it can appear more “black and white” and therefore be easier to understand. This separation results in a “head” versus “heart” situation that can become quite confusing and frustrating.
We are torn looking for things we can see, evidence to support our intuitive feelings, when often times we can’t find any. So, we end up discounting our feelings. This leads to an internal imbalance with our head outranking our heart.
In response to this condition many New Age and Eastern philosophies recommend shutting down the mind, creating a heart-centered reality based on emotional impulse and gut response. This works great, until we are again presented with a case where we cannot “see” the logic in our feelings, or we want to see something different from what we feel. Then the pendulum swings back again to the “head” and we are right back where we started.
What is the solution? Are we relegated to this continual battle of head versus heart? Logic versus intuition? No. My angels and guides say most definitely not. As we advance on our spiritual paths our consciousness will continue to struggle with, and eventually defy this dualistic way of thinking and seek more and more for a sense of peace and unity.
I’m a war of head versus heart, it’s always this way. My head is weak, my heart always speaks, before I know what it will say ~ Ben Gibbard
In response to this, they have provided a simple exercise to support you in achieving a greater sense of balance between the head and the heart. And when I say simple, I mean it’s simple – slap your forehead and say “duh… simple!”
Next time you feel that internal struggle and confusion rising within you, simply ask your own guides to increase your heart energy, as well as your physical energy, in order to balance your head energy.
This will create a trinity effect that will allow you to be more balanced and centered in all areas of your life and it will end, once and for all, that internal struggle of head versus heart. You will now be balanced and empowered in all of your faculties, enabling you to make better, clearer decisions that are more in alignment with your Higher Self and your True Nature.
I invite you to explore this simple, yet powerful exercise and see how it impacts your life. If you find questions arising regarding specific areas of your life, please don’t hesitate to give me a call at PsychicAccess.com and we can work on them together
