Remembering Predictions And Recollection Bias

Get a free psychic reading right now at PsychicAccess.comAs my proclivity tended towards telepathy in my work, I have tried to ‘train’ my clients  to ask questions more presently focused on empathy, though I still may encounter questions about the future outlook from time to time and am happy to answer them. The problem I encounter is letting you know when the prediction will come true.

As readers we often commune as colleagues, and I know that many of us have a deep sense of responsibility to our clients. We worry quite a bit about the effects we have on our clients. We pay in karmic debt, what we have to tell you. We don’t take this lightly. I take the energy of the client with me after each reading, even if I don’t remember their name months down the line, I will remember their pain. So it’s important for me to try and leave a person feeling in control.

I can make predictions and I do, especially in my own life when needed.  But when it comes to handling someone else’s future, I do sometimes become anxious. I believe in their ability to change events from the present.  This is not anything against readers who do make predictions, but is based on my personal beliefs and some experiences I have had as a reader.

The most common scenario I have encountered is in doing empathic readings where I am accurate about the personality profile of the person, but then the client will push me for outcome  probabilities based on their perception of time, and their need for the events to close or proceed immediately.

As I have also called psychics I know the other side of the coin. I am sensitive to our client’s issues, but this is how perception of the readings can skew the memory of the reading.

Let’s say I nail a character analysis. The client will assume then, that any assumptions made on my part are as predictive as accurate.

Carmen: “He loves you”
Client’s interpretation: ‘He loves me, thus he is coming back…”

Carmen: “He wants to talk to you”
Client’s interpretation: ‘He will call me…”

Think of getting predictions as difficult sometimes as a witness’ recollection of facts. They can be skewed in memory, depending on the stresses, trauma of the event, mood, tone of delivery, outside pressures, intimidation, time  of day and culture’s and societies influences to do the right thing.  This is true for all information. We will remember it in a way we can retain it – even if it means some of the information is incorrect.

This is why occasionally a client and a reader will remember different parts of the reading to how I present them.

For example a client pressed me to tell her he was not coming back to her as she wanted to hear this answer, after I had predicted he would. After hearing her out, in order to make her less anxious, I agreed to being wrong in my original prediction as she insisted he was not going to come back.  Then he called her! So was I wrong, or had I been forced to admit to changing an outcome to accommodate my clients needs?

This is why it is harder for me to make predictions: as an empath I will feel your fear, desperation and sadness and try and accommodate you as well.

Please remember this when you get readings – your present attitude  is vital to how you will approach this problem and will affect your recall of the reading. I encourage you to take notes and to write down word for word what my cards say, as usually it is a channeled message, word for word and you will have a record of it.

Please feel free to interrupt and ask for clarification. Predictions are complex, and it has taken me over a decade to get somewhat of idea of how timing and predictions work, but that did take a decade of analysis, so I don’t expect my clients to understand right away either. I am more than happy to teach you!

There are multiple tenses and streams of time and I will try and let you know when we are going from one aspect of the reading to another. I will wander between telepathy, information and predictions in my reading, sometimes just following along reading my clients thoughts and answering them through the cards.  Sometimes they are jumbled, but I usually will let you know if the information is mixed up, so we can make it into a coherent story.
