We all have desires in life, and it’s natural to want happy outcomes and perfect endings to the stories in the book of our lives. But what happens when we have that, “I just know it’s going to work out” feeling, and then a psychic reading comes along and bursts our bubble?
Sometimes, when a person consults a psychic, they are sure that their ex-lover is going to come back, or that they are going to get that perfect job. They are looking for confirmation from the psychic that their own intuitions are accurate and everything is going to work out in an ideal way. But then, when the psychic foresees pitfalls and problems, the person can become discouraged, or even angry. This is when many claim that the psychic was not accurate, or could not connect to their situation. And this is also when some psychics tend to smile sweetly at their client and begin to sugar coat the reading. Both of these reactions however, are completely unwarranted.
The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the past better than it was, the present worse than it is, and the future less resolved than it will be ~ Marcel Pagnol
I had a client come to me years ago, and her only question was, “So when is my boyfriend coming back to me?” The reading was less than promising and the woman’s smile soon turned into a frown, until she began to yell at me and say that I didn’t know what I was talking about. She said that her boyfriend was going to return to her, even though he had left her and had not been seen for over five years. She demanded her money back, and said that seeing me was a waste of her time.
My heart went out to her. She was hoping against hope to be reunited with a lost love, and I unfortunately could not confirm that hope. I was not being mean or hard on her; I just relayed what I saw in the cards. But it was not what she wanted or expected to hear. The moral of the story is: sometimes lovers reunite, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes the perfect job comes through, and other times it does not.
Sometimes psychics are wrong. We’re certainly not God, by any means. But if a psychic warns you of challenges, disruptions and stumbling blocks, you should at least take those things into consideration and plan accordingly, in the event that the psychic’s prediction of the future was actually correct. Better to be prepared, than caught off guard and be overtaken by the coming storm.
What if the person we have been wishing to reunite with for ten years doesn’t come back? What will we do then? Isn’t it best to take our umbrella with us in the morning when the sky threatens rain? Even if doesn’t rain, at least we were prepared in case the storm did come.
I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they’re right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together ~ Marilyn Monroe
Most psychics are here to help other people; we want to use our gifts in a positive way. And believe me, it’s just as disappointing and hurtful to us when a reading goes crosswise of someone greatest desires. I always feel horrendous when this happens, but I made a promise to myself and God that I would never lie about what I saw in the cards.
But, instead of pointing fingers, blaming and sugar coating when a reading contradicts our desires, both the psychic and clients should work together to assure the best possible outcome and path to take in the situation at hand. Sometimes we don’t get what we want so badly. But most times the Universe always provides us with something better if we will just let go and open our hands to receive.
So, the next time a reading doesn’t confirm your cherished yearnings, give the one doing the reading a chance to explain what it is that he sees. It just may give you the key to unlock a whole new life that you never knew existed. In my humble opinion, there are no bad readings, only new roads that lead to new opportunities. Sometimes we just have to draw up a new map.
