I have felt many different forms of love. There are so many feelings to describe it. Yet, someone loving you may have no bearing on where the relationship is going.
Really? How can that be? He has told me he wants to marry me!
I believe that empaths have a hardwired ability to tune into that love. Women especially seem to get into dangerous relationships because they ‘feel that the person loves them’. This is not to exclude men, but I believe it’s a slightly higher percentage. Maybe it is women’s biological inclination to nurture and protect the roost that enhances their empathic skills, or the highly developed language center.
This is to a large extent why one does not move on. One feels their love.
Again this comes back to intent. What does your partner want for themselves?
If it is selfish, then their love for you may be redundant. It may not matter if all that happens is that you get hurt! Many people are die-hard empaths and will stay in abusive relationships because they love to nurture. So, they keep on over compensating for their ‘faults’ by nurturing the partner. They want more and more of that feeling of ‘love’ to keep as a reminder of their own value. If you looked closer, you may notice that your loss of your value is what makes you tune into that person’s love. You are empathically correct, but that does not define you, or the relationship.
There are many reasons why people do not follow through on their feelings. The most common issues are:
- Insecurity (not being good enough)
- Independence (denying love in exchange for safety)
- Emotions (being overwhelmed)
- Numbness (cutting emotions off)
- Infatuation (the relationship does not match up to the initial honeymoon period)
- Inexperience (creates confusion)
- Grief / Crisis/ Life Changes
- Projects / Focus / Dreams (long-term goals they had long before they met you)
- Pre-conceived ideas about relationships
The list goes on, but I wanted to highlight the many issues that can interfere with a loving relationship.
I often find in my readings that the ex-partner or current partner wants to love the person, but their insecurities prevent them from following through. Often times I can connect
to that person and feel their love, almost as strong as the first day they met, but in order to protect themselves, the person will not move forward on it.
I have felt love from all parts of the globe, and I feel that making a relationship work is best when two people meet when they are at their strongest, and making the choices
in their lives that are best for them and not based on what the other one wants. This means one is completely in tune with spirit. The energy of manifestation will reward you with a bounty so beautiful, all you have to do is look deep within yourself.
So, when you feel the love of someone you care for, hold it deep within your heart in reward for your beauty and strength, and accept that it’s easiest for them, to find the love within themselves first, before they can make this work.
