When a client calls in for a reading, the first thing I ask them for is their name. This is my way to connect with them emotionally; the vibration of their voice sends me straight into their emotions and thought patterns and straight to their source or higher self, as well as their spirit guides. From there, I can also connect to anyone that they are connected to emotionally, and also connect to the spirit guides of those people.

At times, I get calls from people who are skeptical as to whether or not psychics are real, and if they have abilities to really ‘see’ things. I believe it is most important to take the time to explain what I see, but also let them know that I have to relate it to the pieces of information I get from spirit.

I will get symbols or pictures, small words, fragments of sentences or numbers. I also get birth signs and days of the week. All of this comes in within a few short minutes. It could sound or look something like this:

Male Earth sign… tension… inner conflict… emotions… take a rest… a change is coming… the number ten… female Air sign… heartbreak… movement after a period of sadness…

Oh, Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the winds, and whose breath gives life to all the world, hear me, I am small and weak, I need your strength and wisdom ~Native American Prayer

If a client doesn’t ask specific questions, I will have to piece it together like a puzzle and at times, I may have to ask them questions to gather more information from the symbols and words I have been given.

When a psychic asks you a question, it is never about baiting you. It is about trying to figure out why a particular word or person comes up in the reading. If I see a particular birth sign (element: fire, air, water, earth) you can rest assured that that person will be present somewhere in the clients life or will be there very shortly.

I also believe it is very important to share with clients any ‘extras’ that spirit says to me. At times, these extras may not make any sense to me, but they may make perfect sense to the client. Just a single word or a number is all that is needed sometimes to show the client that you are connected to spirit.

I had a client say that she saw something like that on the television show Long Island Medium Yes! That is exactly how spirit connects through a psychic or medium. I always try to remind others that spirit is very subtle. They won’t give us more than what we need, in order to know they are there. They really do have our best interests at heart, but they really think it is necessary for us to find our own way with as little help from them as possible.

I believe spirit likes to give us gentle nudges in the right direction, but it won’t make your decisions for you or tell you what to do or what direction you should go in. They will tell you what you need to know and cut away all of the extra.

Spirit’s main goal for us is to watch us grow and evolve. They want to guide us, not push us away from learning. So, when the small messages appear take notice of them, for in those small messages lay the bigger truths – lessons to be learned by those that watch over and protect us. The symbols and pictures that I get from spirit are a lot like gentle reminders – nothing alarming or overwhelming. It is just enough to let you know that they are there… and they are watching over you… loving you and protecting you.
